Saturday evening we took Fox ice skating for the first time! I should mention this was maybe my fifth time ever ice skating myself. If you ask Fox post ice skating he says he had fun and liked it, and for the most part he did enjoy it, but I think we'll wait until he is 3 to go again. D and I each held one of Fox's hands as he kind of leaned back with his skates forward and we would pull him. This actually worked very well until Fox would lift his feet up to be 'swung'. I think what Fox enjoyed best was the people watching as we were in Lloyd Centre Mall, a very busy mall on the Eastside in Portland.

Sunday morning on Valentine's day, D and I dropped Fox of with his cousin's Baylie and Taylor and went with D's brother and wife, Justin and Noelle for our usual Sunday run around the Aloha High School track. After the run we went out for a couples Valentine's breakfast.
Later at home with Fox I gave him his Valentine's day presents- a bit of chocolate and a new book. His favorite books at the moment are interactive books- where he gets to flip a portion of the page to find something underneath. The end of the new book there is a mirror- so Fox enjoys going through the pages saying 'dog', 'cat', 'cow' and then getting to the end he laughs at his image and sticks out his tongue.
We were so lucky with the weather on Sunday Fox even got to play at the park. He loves these bars, which of course he can only pay with if one of us is holding on to him. He will swing to the next bar and count his way to the other side. Here Fox is showing off how strong he is by hanging all of his own.
