Clearly Time Has Flown By..... Let's discuss April 2014!

Fox has entered his third season of baseball - but this year he graduated from T-ball to coach pitch! D is an assistant coach for the team and has done a few games of being the pitcher (not his favorite as it is very stressful).  Games are on Mondays and Saturdays- so thankfully I can attend the week night games and I have caught a few Saturday games for days I took off of work. Here is Fox hitting and running into home getting a run for The Ninjas.

And a hit!

Running home!

We bought a house back in August and though the home isn’t that old (build in 2001) the paint colors are just not our style.  We have painted our entire kitchen getting rid of the minty green and added our version of ‘builder beige’ a nice warm grey/slate and an orange accent wall.  The living room and hallways have been repainted to the grey as well to get rid of a ‘builder beige yellowish’ color.  We also added a blue accent wall.  Still to go are the office, Fox’s room, the spare room, our bedroom and all the bathrooms.

Our new amazing 'builder grey'

Our blue living room wall (next dream step is to add build-ins along that wall for storage and a nice entertainment center)

I made my very first wreath in April with Jamie and Lauren.  This is my 'spring' wreath.  Since Easter has passed, D continues to ask when we can take it down....  Fox found the little bird at the craft store to add in.

April brought another year of my 'national holiday' otherwise known as my birthday. We had a party at our house- but sadly I didn't take any photos of the actual party! Had a great time drinking mass quantities of homemade sangria, eating delicious smoked beef sliders made by D, hanging out enjoying the amazing Texas spring weather, the Tiki bar finally made good use of itself as well!

My birthday gift from D - a hammock!  I have wanted one for YEARS!  Fox will hang it up outside and swing in it for a while.  He also enjoys playing minecraft wrapped up inside the hammock.

Birthday dress.  Anyone else love buying a new outfit for their birthday?  It is a long standing adult tradition for me.

That's April in a nutshell!
